Cornerstones MUD Transitions to Best Trash – New Schedule Effective October 31, 2025

Attention Cornerstones MUD Residents!

We are excited to announce our transition to Best Trash for all trash and recycling collection services, effective October 31, 2025. Please review the important new schedule and guidelines below to ensure a smooth transition.

Transition Timeline

  • Last Recycling Collection with Texas Pride: Tuesday, October 28, 2025

    • Texas Pride will pick up your old recycle bins for the final time on this day.

  • New Cart Delivery from Best Trash: Wednesday, October 29, 2025

    • Best Trash will deliver new recycling carts to all residents.

  • First Collection Day with Best Trash: Friday, October 31, 2025

    • This is your first trash collection day under the new service. Recycling begins the following Tuesday.

🚛 Trash Collection: Collected at the curb

  • Days: Tuesday & Friday
  • Use personal trash cans (30–50 gallons)

♻️ Recycling Collection:

  • Day: Tuesday
  • Use the green 48-gallon cart provided by Best Trash
  • Place carts at curb by 7:00 a.m.

Accepted Recyclables:

  • Paper & cardboard (flatten boxes)
  • Plastics #1–5, #7
  • Aluminum & tin cans
  • Glass (all colors)
    Remove caps, liquids, and food before recycling.

Important Notes:

  • Green cart is not for trash
  • Overflow recyclables must be clearly marked and placed beside the bin
  • One cart per residence; replacements available for damaged or lost bins (fees may apply)

Holiday Schedule

If your regular trash collection day falls on a holiday (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day), the collection will be made on the next regularly scheduled collection day.
