2008 DIRECTORS ELECTION

At their regular meeting on March 17, 2008, the board of directors adopted an Order canceling the May 10, 2008 directors election, the deadlines to run having passed and there not being more candidates than positions up for election.  As provided by the Texas Election Code, the following candidates were declared elected:

2004 DIRECTORS ELECTION RESULTS

At a special meeting on May 24, 2004, the board of directors canvassed the returns for the May 15, 2004 directors election.  The following tally was accepted and declared official:

2004 DIRECTOR ELECTION

Director elections are held in May of every even-numbered year.  This year, the election will be held within the District on Saturday, May 15, 2004, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Chesterfield Swim & Tennis Club, 1707 Briarchester Drive.  Early voting will take place on weekdays only from April 28 through May 11 during the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at 22306 Park Point Drive.

The six candidates running for three at-large positions on the board, in the order their names were drawn to appear on the ballot, are:

David Christopher, 22726 Birch Point Drive
Tony Garza, 22538 Holly Lake Drive
Reginald Celestine, 22715 Birch Point Drive
John Irwin, 1514 Valley Landing
Chip Norris, 1802 Briarchester
David Amstutz, 1514 Brookgrove Drive

All registered voters residing within the District are eligible to vote.  There is no per household limit on the number of voters.  PLEASE COME VOTE!

AD VALOREM TAX RATE FOR 2007

At their meeting on Monday, October 15, 2007, the Board received and considered the tax rolls for 2007 for the District.  Based on the current valuation of $279,527,914 and the District’s financial requirements to be met by the 2007 tax levy the board unanimously voted that the following rate be levied per $100 valuation of taxable property for the year 2007:

     1.     For payment of principal and
             interest on bonds or notes
             payable from taxes.                                         $0.25

     2.     For maintenance and operation
             purposes.                                                         $0.18

          TOTAL TAX PER $100 VALUATION:             $0.43
